Welcome to dory land – a note from andy. i’ve been building, rowing and following this passion since i first laid eyes on whitewater dories in a book entitled hidden canyon, by john blaustein.. i then saw these boats on the water, back in 1982, and fell immediately in love from my simple kayak.. We had our new briggs dory in whitewater for the first time. two trips to the day stretch on the salmon river below north fork idaho. it was running at 9,000 cfs. on the first trip. the narrow 48" bottom and the long straight 5 1/2" chine section works very well.the boat tracks extremely.
